A Little About the President and Founder
My name is Steven Horn. I was born and raised in Arkansas.
I started my career at an early age in a family business of Horn’s Garage. Horn’s Garage was a 10-employee auto, truck, trailer and industrial equipment
repair shop. In 1970, the name was changed to Horn’s Repair Service, to show that it was more than just a garage. I started at the bottom in 1970, doing clean
up. I moved up, learning every facet of the business.
- Horn’s Repair Service was incorporated and the name was changed to Horn’s Inc. In 1976, I bought into Horn’s Inc. In 1978, I became Vice
President. The ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations was an
integral part of my position. As vice president, expansion of Horn’s Inc was accomplished by adding new product and service lines. Horn’s Inc. grew by making sure the customer was satisfied with the services and products we offered. One of these services was being one of the first in the state to offer 12 month/12,000 mile warranties on our remanufactured parts. We were able to implement this policy, because our strategy was 0% product return, 0% comeback, and 100% product satisfaction.
- In 1980, Horn’s Inc. started manufacturing natural gas, propane, and diesel power units. I received several certificates for training received on Detroit Diesel and Allison Transmissions.
- In 1983, I became President of Horn’s Inc.The expansion of Horn’s grew to three production locations and two new divisions. By the end of 1985, Horn’s Inc was a full line, full coverage automotive and industrial equipment part manufacturer.
- In 1986, a new company name, Automotive Machine Works, was added to control the newest additions to Horn’s Inc. AMW became the backbone of Horn’s Inc. Housing all five divisions of Horn’s Inc; AMW became a leader and innovator of customer satisfaction with a superior product.
- In 1990, I initiated a Spring Car Care Clinic. The clinic was designed to educate
people about the cars they drove. The clinic was a success, with massive turn
out for the event. I was offered a position at the Pine Bluff Commercial
writing a weekly column called Car Corner.
- Between 1980 and today, I have received certificates of training on GM, Ford and
Chrysler Electronics and fuel systems, Detroit Diesel Engines, Allison
Transmissions, Caterpillar Engines, Caterpillar Equipment, Caterpillar
Electronics, Telsmith Aggregate Equipment, JCI, Ingersol-Rand, Altec Ariel Equipment, VON Dielectric Testing Certified and Member of the Fluid Power Society.
And
here we are today. I am the President ofAggregate Systems of Arkansas, Inc. TM Here to offer the customer,
high quality service at a very reasonable price.
